West Redding Church Burns
Redding Fellowship Church on lake blvd caught fire around 6:00pm this evening, the chuch was vacant, and nobody was inside the the fire dept. had 26 firefighters at the scene and just about every engine in the city. The fire started in the smaller building (500 sqft) and the spread into the larger fellowship hall. Both buildings are still standing but destroyed and the police had one guy that they were questioning, the building had a "for sale" sign on the door. Nobody was hurt.

fire investigators think the blaze may have been started by a homeless person using the vacant house next door to the church as shelter along with a "warming fire"
